If you find that your insurance does not cover psychotherapy, or you'd prefer to opt out of using insurance for a variety of reasons, you're welcome to inquire about the out of pocket fee structure. The Flame of Hope chose to model their sliding scale based on a social justice model called "The green bottle method" to accommodate financial need. You may still be able to get reimbursed for therapy even if I am 'out of network' for your insurance provider. I offer out of network reimbursement solutions through Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions.
